The winter sports resort of Kitzbühel is a place where superlatives reign. And this is down not just to its unique reputation as a World Cup venue and the infamous Streif. Apart from hosting the world’s most spectacular downhill race, Kitzbühel occupies the highest level in any international ranking, as proven by countless awards and the honour of a nomination at the 2nd World Ski Awards as World’s Best Ski Resort Company

situated between the Hahnenkamm and the Resterhöhe lies one of the most modern ski areas in the Alps. With its 53 ultra-modern cable cars and lifts, Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel connects 170 km of pistes, many of which are world ranking, including the legendary Streif and Ganslernhang. Thanks to its favourable north/west orientation and extensive Alpine landscapes, fun on the piste is guaranteed here for up to 180 operating days – from November right through to the start of May.

From as early as November skiers and snowboarders can really make the most of the winter excitement in the town at the foot of the Hahnenkamm. Experience shows: only with snow guaranteed, winter season can start early. And this has been the case for many years – Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel has reliably succeeded in creating one of the first non-glacier ski areas to start up in the winter.

Skiing was "invented" in Kitzbühel and it has become a legendary holiday town. A unique blend of tradition and the spirit of the age attracts skiers and celebrities from around the world. This popular sports town in the Alps is centrally located in one of the most beautiful regions in the Tyrolean Alps and is easy to reach. The nearest airports are in Innsbruck (95 km), Salzburg (80 km) and Munich (125 km), from where shuttles ferry guests to Kitzbühel.
