The World Ski Awards 2019 will be a three-day programme of unrivalled networking events, dinners, and exclusive ski experience activities. The highlight event will be the red carpet World Ski Awards Gala Ceremony on the evening of November 23rd. Ski tourism figureheads and market leaders from North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia are scheduled to attend and the World Ski Awards 2019 winners will be revealed.

Friday 22nd November 2019

Day – Option One: Walking History Tour 4:00–6:00pm

Participate in a memorable guided walking tour of the legendary town of Kitzbühel – the home of skiing and the home of the World Ski Awards. Your personal guide will introduce you to this enchanting Alpine town and its stunning medieval squares, romantic alleys and famous landmarks, alongside stories of its headline role in skiing history.

Day – Option Two: Spa*

Relax and be papered in the brand new, 3,500sqm A-ROSA Kitzbühel Spa. Please pre-book any treatments* in advance.

Evening – Welcome Dinner 6:30–9:30pm

World Ski Awards networking welcome dinner in authentic Tyrolean style! Meet with ski peers from around the world in the new and stylish Restaurant Streif. The perfect start to a perfect day – a sumptuous breakfast of champions at Restaurant Streif, with panoramic views of the world-famous Hahnenkamm.

Day – Option One: Ski Hahnenkamm 8:30am – 2:30pm

Experience an unforgettable day of private skiing on the legendary Kitzbühel slopes. A gourmet, mountain top lunch will be provided with some very special guests in attendance. Skis and boots will be provided. A thrilling, memorable day ahead of ski tourism's biggest evening of the year!

Day – Option Two: Walking in the Kitzbühel Alps 9:00am – 2:30pm

Take a visit to some of the Alps most breath-taking landmarks with awe-inspiring views. The leisurely hike will include a visit to the start house of the world-famous Streif on the Hahnenkamm. You will then convene with the ski party for a gourmet networking lunch on the mountain.

Day – Option Three: Spa*

Relax and re-energize in the brand new, world-class A-ROSA Kitzbühel Spa. Time to look and feel your best as the red carpet awaits. Please pre-book any treatments* in advance.

Evening – 7th Annual Wold Ski Awards Gala Ceremony 7:00pm – late

The main event that puts the glitz in Kitz! Put on your best evening wear as ski tourism's event of the year begins with an international networking champagne reception in the Castle Hall. You will then take your seat in the main arena as the moment will arrive – the hotly-anticipated unveiling of the World Ski Awards 2019 winners. The star-studded evening will include a gourmet Gala Dinner, entertainment, some very special surprises and, of course, the legendary winners after-party!

Day – Salzburg Christmas Market Experience 9:00am – 3:00pm

One for the bucket list! An opportunity to see magical Salzburg in all its festive pomp and to visit its world-famous Christmas market. Dating back to the 15th Century, the Salzburger Christkindlmarkt is one of the festive season’s must-do experiences as Mozart’s fairy-tale city is transformed into a winter wonderland. What better way to wrap up your World Ski Awards weekend than a trip to one of Austria’s most romantic festive traditions and the opportunity to buy those special Christmas gifts for loved ones at home. There will be plenty of time to explore Salzburg’s old town as the market is located in the Cathedral Square, at the foot of the Hohensalzburg fortress and at the very heart of the medieval centre.

Broadcaster, news anchor and journalist, Katie Jensen has enjoyed 14 years working in television in Australia and the UAE. Her credits include five years with Australia’s highest rated morning news show, and as a News Anchor for Dubai One’s Emirates News and Emirates 24/7.

She has interviewed a number of distinguished guests including His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, as well as stars including Morgan Freeman, Colin Firth, Roger Federer and Michael Buble.

She is an Ambassador for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, which is committed to alleviating child poverty and giving all children the right to a safe and happy childhood.

Katie Jensen

Joja Wendt

Joja Wendt started playing piano at the age of four and is a graduate of the conservatory of Hilversum, Netherlands and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He was discovered by Joe Cocker during a jam session in a music club in Hamburg. Joe engaged him as a support act for his current tour which was the beginning of Joja’s successful international career that has now spanned more than 30 years.

He has toured with Chuck Berry, performed on stage with Monty Alexander and Fats Domino at the Montreux Jazz Festival, is a successful film composer and has released more than 30 CDs.

He is the winner of the Louis-Armstrong Award and was elected by Steinway & Sons to become a member of the Steinway Artist club. His concert tours led have taken him from South Africa to Singapore, China and Russia and even to the stages of New York City’s Carnegie Hall and other legendary venues.
