LEITNER ropeways, PRINOTH and DEMACLENKO

World Ski Awards – the premier annual forum for celebrating new standards of ski tourism excellence and sharing principles of best practice – has teamed up with LEITNER, PRINOTH and DEMACLENKO – the one-stop shop for winter technology – as the platinum partner for its Gala Ceremony 2018.

LEITNER was founded in 1888 and is one of the world's leading ropeway developers and builders. The company constructs ropeways worldwide for a wide range of applications, from winter sports through to urban passenger transport. Whether in its groundbreaking cooperation with Italian design studio Pininfarina, the success of the proprietary gearless DirectDrive system or the visionary functionality of the LeitControl system – LEITNER ropeways focuses consistently on quality, innovation and uncompromising functionality. With its products, the company demonstrates its qualities as a premium provider, while also responding individually to a wide range of customer requirements. From the initial basic concept through to commissioning, LEITNER ropeways experts help customers make their visions reality. The recent project at Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt shows just how ambitious these visions can be. LEITNER ropeways caused quite a stir there by building the world's highest tricable ropeway. The company also recorded another world's first in this project: For the first time in the history of LEITNER ropeways, the exteriors of four of the 25 cabins are adorned with thousands of Swarovski® crystal beads.

Perfect pistes! In keeping with this mission statement, PRINOTH offers the world's most extensive range of snow groomers and tracked utility vehicles. The company is known in particular for its innovative technologies and appealing design. To maximize snowgrooming efficiency, PRINOTH focuses increasingly on making its vehicles resource-friendly. The combination of pioneering technology and extensive slope expertise guarantee successful, economically efficient and high quality preparation. Besides sophisticated digital fleet management, the 3D snow depth measurement ensures high-precision work, contributing to significant time, energy and operating cost savings. The operator sees the exact snow depth and the terrain profile in real time on a monitor fitted in the snow groomer. This means that during preparation, the driver can respond directly to GPS antenna and angle sensor data, which is evaluated in real time.

As a technology leader in the snow-making sector, DEMACLENKO offers turnkey overall concepts, from efficient snowmaking machines to control software. On the software side, the company has been offering the perfect answer to the increasing digitalization and automation of work processes in ski resorts for years: “Snowvisual 4.0”. SNOWVISUAL permits fully automatic control and management of the entire snowmaking system and its individual components. That allows operators to optimize snow windows and use resources efficiently. DEMACLENKO also prioritizes good design. This is especially evident in the Pininfarina-designed “Ventus 4” fan gun. In Snow4Ever, the company presented a significant and highly regarded cutting-edge technology, which makes snowmaking possible even at temperatures significantly above freezing point. This is achieved via a scientific innovation in the system that creates real snowflakes via crystallization without chemical additives, no matter what the outside temperature is.
