World Ski Awards has issued a final call for votes as the deadline for the 2016 Gala Ceremony approaches.
Voting will close on September 23rd, with the winners set to be revealed during a glittering event in Kitzbühel, Austria, over the weekend of November 18th-20th.
Members of the ski community, both tourism professionals and ski consumers, are invited to view the 2016 World Ski Awards finalists here.
A-ROSA Kitzbühel will welcome industry leaders from across the globe for a three day programme of unrivalled networking events, dinners, and exclusive ski experience activities.
The highlight of the event will of course be the red carpet Gala Ceremony itself on the evening of November 19th when the World Ski Awards winners will be unveiled.
World Ski Awards Managing Director Sion Rapson said: “World Ski Awards is the only global initiative to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in the global ski tourism industry, and as such our 2016 finalists represent the very best the sector has to offer.
"With voting now open ahead of our 2016 Gala Ceremony – returning to Kitzbühel for the fourth successive year in November – now is the time to make your voices heard and vote for who you think should be crowned the best of the best.”
The World Ski Awards programme has categories for the Best Ski Resort, Best Ski Hotel, Best Ski Boutique Hotel and Best Ski Chalet for each of the world’s top 25 ski tourism nations.
China will join the programme for the very first time this year.
The individual country level winner with the most overall votes will not only win the national award but also the world level award in the respective category.
A number of categories exist on a world level only; World’s Best Ski Tour Operator, World’s Best Ski Travel Agent, World’s Best Ski Transfer Operator, World’s Best Ski Resort Company, World’s Best Freestyle Resort, World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort, World’s Best Heli-Ski Operator, World’s Best New Ski Hotel, World’s Best New Ski Chalet, and the special World Ski Awards Academy Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Ski Tourism and Ski Legend.
