Fri 23 October 2015

The world’s best ski tourism organisations will be rewarded for the third time at the World Ski Awards 2015 next month; a high-calibre competition that sets the standards in global winter tourism.

This year, the event is being held from November 20th-22nd in Kitzbühel.

The LEITNER Group - with LEITNER ropeways, PRINOTH, and DEMACLENKO - has been a partner since 2014 and will return again this year, with the evening providing an excellent opportunity for the company to highlight its leading role in international ski tourism.

With ropeways from LEITNER ropeways, snow groomers from PRINOTH, and snowmaking systems from DEMACLENKO, the Group is the world’s only supplier able to deliver the full range of winter technology – for the world’s best ski resorts.

An intensive exchange of ideas with innovative and successful ski tourism companies is essential for the LEITNER Group.

Together, LEITNER ropeways, PRINOTH, and DEMACLENKO consistently focus on high-tech, ambitious design and environmentally friendly technology.

The new Premium Chair from LEITNER ropeways, the new “business class” for ski resorts, also demonstrates this drive to achieve excellence.

The chair will be first used in Kitzbühel in December 2015 and presented to representatives of the top ski resorts at the World Ski Awards.

PRINOTH highlights the world’s cleanest fleet of snow groomers, while DEMACLENKO offers efficient complete solutions for snowmaking systems, which will provide perfect snow conditions during the Hahnenkamm Races in Kitzbühel.

At the World Ski Awards, the best ski resorts, hotels, boutique hotels, and ski chalets in the world’s top 24 winter sports nations will be chosen.

Tickets for the Gala Ceremony are in high demand.

Guests wishing to confirm attendance are invited to email Managing Director Sion Rapson.
For bookings on or before the October 30th representatives of World Ski Awards nominees will be invited to attend entirely free of charge, with access to the full three day programme.

The only fee will be the accommodation at the luxurious A-ROSA Kitzbühel - where all the international guests and networking events will be based.

About World Ski Awards

Launched in 2013, World Ski Awards aims to drive up standards within the ski tourism industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field.

Votes are cast by professionals working within the ski industry – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media - and by the public (ski tourism consumers).

Last year's World Ski Awards, attended by ski industry heavyweights from the 21 leading ski nations, saw the title of World’s Best Ski Resort go to Val Thorens (France), while Bighorn, Revelstoke (Canada) took World’s Best Ski Chalet, The Vale Niseko (Japan) won World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel and World’s Best Ski Hotel went to Stein Eriksen Lodge (USA).

World Ski Awards is the sister organisation of World Travel Awards, the “travel Oscars” currently celebrating its 22nd anniversary.
