World Ski Awards had just ranked Bella Coola Heli Sports the No.1 Heli-ski Operation in the World. High praise, it was also validation for the three amigos who’d forged their friendship in the active outdoor filmmaking industry around Whistler.

Recognized as one of the top skiing destinations in Canada and indeed globally, the three Alberta ski resorts of Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mt. Norquay Ski Resort together form an area known as the Big3. At the 2019 Ski Awards, Lake Louise was voted the number one ski resort in Canada and "one of the three best freestyle resorts in the world."

Val Thorens in France was named the 'World's Best Ski Resort' for the seventh time in eight years. The ski resort, which is the highest in Europe at 10,560 feet, was handed the gong at the 2020 World Ski Awards, which are voted for by industry experts and members of the public in a range of categories, including best resorts, hotels, chalets and tour operators.
