Since the resort’s opening in 1981, it has kept growing as one of the best all-season resorts in Japan. Working with multiple international companies, we have seen the opening of “ANA InterContinental Appi Kogen Resort” and “Harrow International School Appi Japan” in 2022. Appi Resort has a strong history in skiing, and has grown as a global resort destination. APPI Has been nominated for the “WORLD SKI AWARDS Japan's Best Ski Resort” for 10 consecutive years since 2013, which is known as the “Academy Award” of the ski world. APPI finally won the award in 2022.

In addition, the resort has been focusing on conserving and preserving the snow by cooperating with an environmental organization. Located at 40 degrees north latitude, all 21 of ski runs are located across two mountains, Mt.Maemori and Mt.Nishimori.
