Meet the winner
Nestled in an exclusive and wonderfully private corner of Val d’Isère, Chalet Machapuchare is just minutes from the pistes and resort centre, with uninterrupted views of the valley, glaciers and peaks.
A proud winner of France’s Best Ski Chalet in both 2023 and 2024, it was also ranked among the top three ski chalets in the world last year. This year, we’re aiming for the top spot: World’s Best Ski Chalet.
Lovingly designed with exceptional attention to detail, the interiors feature natural materials and bespoke furnishings, many handcrafted by the owner or repurposed from traditional Alpine pieces.
At its heart is a vast sitting room with wraparound balconies, a striking fireplace, and access to the hot tub with spectacular views.
A tropical-style swimming pool, hammam, massage area and gym offer spa-level luxury, while the soundproof cinema room with tiered seating is a cosy retreat after a day on the slopes.
