Thredbo Resort has enjoyed its most successful start to the winter season ever, showcasing some of the best early season snow conditions seen on an opening weekend yet. With all major lifts and resort areas open before the end of June, 2022 is already one for the books.

Skiers and snowboarders certainly made the most of the early snowfall, enjoying the country’s longest runs – almost double the amount of vertical terrain than any other Australian resort – and riding Australia’s only alpine Gondola. 

For beginners, Thredbo is the ultimate place to learn with a range of lessons and programs for all ages and abilities, as well as specialty programs and tours for those wanting to try something new. 

One thing that really puts Thredbo Resort in a league of its own is the incredible village atmosphere and the world-class events and entertainment calendar, offering the country’s biggest and best range of unique experiences on and off the mountain. 

So far this season has delivered record breaking apres events featuring some of Australia’s biggest live music acts plus lots more! Thredbo in 2022 launched it’s biggest line-up of live entertainment and après events, kid’s festivals, skiing and snowboarding events, terrain parks plus a series of unique on-mountain experiences for the winter. 

Since last year, Thredbo has made significant upgrades to make this the best winter yet, including a new beginner lift, increasing snow coverage and adding to the already significant snowmaking fleet plus lots more.
